The Parent Teacher Organization at LCHS contributes to the unique connection between the administration, faculty, and the parent community at our student's high school.  In addition to our support of various projects and activities at the school, the PTO has served as a most important communication link within our community.  In this age of mass communication via email or a website, the PTO has a link on the LCHS website, and it remains an informal gathering for the exchange of ideas, discussion of issues and the building of the community we share.

As the new school year approaches, it has been decided that the PTO will meet quarterly with two planned presentations for two of those scheduled meetings.  In October, the Guidance department will conduct a presentation regarding the transition to high school, and the timeline for college preparation, standardized tests, and any other issues of your concern.  In March, Mr. Discavage will address the issue of academics and course selection for the coming school year.  Two other meetings will be held, one in September and the other in April, for general business, and discussion of participant's choice.

I encourage each family to join the PTO at LCHS, and attend these meetings. In addition, if you have any comments, questions, or ideas please contact me via the LCHS website, at the Parent Link, or directly at CONTACTPTO@LCHSYES.org.
