Calling for Nominations

Alumni Citation Awards Program

The Alumni Citation is the highest award LCHS can bestow upon a graduate. If you know an exceptional man or woman worthy of this singular honor, we encourage you to nominate that individual. Graduates can be nominated in the following areas:
 

  • Outstanding Professional Achievement
  • Service to Humanity
  • Service to Lancaster Catholic High School

Alumni Council Representative

All LCHS graduates are members of the Lancaster Catholic Alumni Association. The activites of the Association, including Homecoming, and Regional events are planned and coordinated through the Alumni Council, the governing body of the Alumni Association. Nominations are NOW being accepted for Alumni Council Representatives, and self nominations are encouraged.





Alumni Citation Awards Banquet to be held on Saturday, May 3rd to honor Six Outstanding Graduates

 

   The Alumni Citation is the highest award Lancaster Catholic High School can bestow upon a graduate.  Established in conjunction with our 75th Anniversary in 2003, the Alumni Citation Awards program was created to recognize exceptional alumni in the areas of Outstanding Professional Achievement, Service to Humanity and/or Service to Lancaster Catholic High School.

   This year’s class is composed of six remarkable individuals, and each has done much to bring honor to themselves and their alma mater.  The Alumni Citation Class of 2008 includes:

 

 

Margaret Gardner ’69   Principal of Our Mother of Perpetual Help School in Ephrata, PA   For Outstanding Professional Achievement

 

Dr. Edward Maley ’59 Member of the Orthopedic Associates, a surgeon of choice in the Lancaster community  For Outstanding Professional Achievement

 

Joseph F. Roda ’67   Super Attorney and a Leader in Litigation throughout the country  For Outstanding Professional Achievement

 

Charles “Chip” Snyder ’70   Successful  Funeral Director and instrumental in getting a large SHARE plot to be used to bury stillborn and miscarried babies     For Outstanding Professional Achievement and for Service to Humanity 

 

Janice “Caskey” Stork ’52  Dedicated over 25 years of service to the Lancaster County Community as a volunteer on numerous city projects as well as service on a federal level as a VISTA volunteer.   For Outstanding Professional Achievement

 

Dr. Miriam (Quigley) Williams ’62  Dean of the School of Education at University of St.Thomas, St. Paul & Minneapolis, Minnesota  For Outstanding Professional Achievement

 

 

The 2008 Alumni Citation Awards Banquet and Induction Ceremony will occur at the Eden Resort Inn and Conference Center on Saturday, May 3rd, beginning with a reception at 5:00 PM.   Dinner will be served at 6:00PM with the induction ceremony immediately following.  The event is open to the public, and anyone interested is invited to attend.  The cost is $25.00 per person.  Please call 509-0313 to make your reservation.
